| The
Computer Aided Design (CAD) Lab serves as the School’s instructional
computing facility, serving undergraduates and graduate students
alike. Open continuously, the CAD Lab is available for all AME
students to work on class assignments, design projects and research
projects. The Lab is also available for both regularly scheduled
courses that require the Lab facilities, or on a reservation basis for
software demonstrations and training as required by an AME course.
The
Lab currently holds 40 Dell Optiplex GX270 computers with 17-inch flat
panel displays.
Thirty of the machines are in the main body of Felgar
Hall 146; the other ten are in an inner room, Room 146B. The inner
room can be closed off from the main room and used for small class
demonstrations, or as a quiet room while a class is being held in the
main room. In addition to the computers, the Lab has both
black-and-white and color laser printers, and a scanner. |
