Service Project: Handicap Dock

The service project has been in the works for two years now. OU ASCE is closer than ever to getting a final set of blue prints finalized for construction. The dock will be located out at Clear Bay near the loading and unloading ramp for boats. 

The engineering of the dock design encompasses learning a lot of engineering concepts along with social and politicking skills. The dock as been okayed to be design and drafted for the purpose of erecting the handicap fishing pier. Many local and state government departments are in on the construction of the fishing pier. The Bureau of Reclamation and the State Department of Recreation and Tourism. The lake sits on a wild life refuge and is a state park so both agencies have say so on how the dock gets built.
