Research Interests
Combustion Process
Research focuses on the fundamental thermochemical processes of energy release, heat transfer, and pollution formation in flames of conventional and synthetic fuels. Understanding the interaction of fluid mechanics with chemical processes and their optimization using modern laser diagnostics leading to the development of energy efficient and environmentally safe combustion systems are the aims of this research.
Propulsion systems
This applied research, which is complementary to the fundamental research mentioned above, focuses on the implementation of the knowledge base developed in the first phase to the automotive, air and space propulsion systems. The goal is to improve the efficiency and environmental emission of propulsion systems.
