Purpose: Students
complete an engineering task involving teamwork, a limited budget, and
creativity.
The engineering design day is unique among the SeeS events. Instead of running stations for the students to rotate through, the students are grouped together and assigned a science or engineering student volunteer to guide them along. The student groups then complete the task by making a design, "buying" materials using SeeS money, and then building it. The best design wins!
