Units:

Environmental Sciences 1
Purpose: Teaches students the different methods of filtering and why some are better than others.

Environmental Sciences 2
Purpose: Teaches students about surface tension and properties of water.

Chemistry 1
Purpose: Teaches students the qualities of and differences between solutions and mixtures.

Chemistry 2
Purpose: Students learn what pH is and how we use it to define acids and bases.

Chemistry 3
Purpose: Students learn about the three states of matter and how we describe and define each state.

Electricity 1
Purpose: Teaches students about static and current electricity and provides
hands-on perspective on electricity.

Electricity 2
Purpose: Teaches students the basics of electric current with a focus on different ways to make circuits.

Magnetism
Purpose: Students learn about magnets and magnetic energy with a focus on poles, attraction and repulsion.

Aeronautics 1
Purpose: Students learn the basics of air flow, lift, and drag.

Aeronautics 2
Purpose: Students learn how modern air planes and rocket propulsion works.

Aeronautics 3
Purpose: Students get to work in teams to design and build their own flight devices.

Sound 1
Purpose: Students learn about sound and a few of its properties.

Sound 2
Purpose: Students learn about how our ears hear and get some ideas about other types of "hearing."

Weather
Purpose: Students learn the factors that contribute to weather, with a focus on the atmosphere.

Optics 1
Puropse: Students learn about the properties of light, including color and spectrum.

Optics 2
Purpose: Students explore the concepts of lenses, magnification, and reflection.

Engineering Design Day 1: Ping Pong Ball Launchers
Purpose: Students complete an engineering task involving teamwork, a limited budget, and creativity.

Purpose: Students complete an engineering task involving teamwork, a limited budget, and creativity.

Logic
