The WaTER Center hosts many speakers each year. Speakers travel to OU to share their knowledge and expertise on water and sanitation in developing countries. These events are free and open to students, faculty and the community. Click here for more information on upcoming and past speakers.

Attend the WaTER Conference

An international conference on water and sanitation in developing regions will be held at OU, hosted by the WaTER Center, in October 2009. Visit the Conference page for additional information.

Become a Parter of the WaTER Center

Various partnership funding opportunities exist through the WaTER Center.

Beginner ($1 - $999) to fund:

  • Seminar speakers
  • Student trips
  • WaTER research equipment and supplies

Small ($1,000 - $9,999) to fund a:

  • Class project
  • Engineers Without Borders project
  • Undergraduate research Project

Medium ($10,000 - $99,999) to fund a:

  • Graduate research project (M.S. or Ph.D.)
  • Post doc
  • Endowed distinguished lectureship

Large ($100,000 to $1,000,000 and up) to support:

  • Adopting a village/region
  • International WaTER prize
  • Endowed faculty position

Additional Learning Opportunities

There are many additional opportunities to get involved with the WaTER Center including: becoming a speaker, visiting classes, speaking with the directors, volunteering for the center and learning more about graduate and undergraduate research ventures.
