|
Who...Freshman students who have been accepted to the University of Oklahoma and who are planning to major in an engineering discipline. Preference is shown to those students who are planning to enroll in a Pre-calculus/Calculus I for the 2009 Fall semester (your first semester of college at OU). This program is geared toward students who do not feel 100% confident for Calculus I, at the OU college level although other factors will be considered to include adjustment to college life, academic core competencies (General Chemistry), and other related concerns. What...Engineering Summer Bridge Program sponsored by AT&T is a three-week residential (on-campus) program that is fully funded and only requires a $350 program fee per student. This fee is to be paid by check and is due no later than May 22, 2009. THE FEE IS DUE UPON RECEIVING AN ACCEPTANCE LETTER FROM THE BRIDGE PROGRAM. Why...Sometimes, engineering coursework can be a challenge. We want YOU to be prepared academically for your first semester of calculus at OU and have designed this program to meet those needs. The program also includes all housing, meals, seminars, team-building exercises, and much more. We have included a course entitled, "Experiencing College Life as an Engineer," (OU acclimation course) specifically tailored to meet the needs of future engineers. Summer Bridge Activities
